Hard good men aren't a luxury. Comfort makes everything optional, and optional men make hard times. Train properly. Keep your word when it costs you. Do the boring thing when nobody's watching. But hardness alone isn't it. Christ turned over the tables and washed their feet, and you don't get to pick one and call it following Him. Carry the gospel the same way. Say it when silence would be easier, and live it so people want what you're carrying. Hard enough to carry weight, kind enough to be worth carrying it for.
